WHO IS SCOTT CIRCLE

Scott Circle Events Logo circles

No, there’s no Mr. Circle. And we don’t know anyone named Scott around whom we rally. “Scott Circle” is a nod to our firm’s heritage and relationship with our nation’s capital. Scott Circle was founded from within the General Scott Condominiums, the apartment building located at 1 Scott Circle, NW, Washington, DC which served as our first office.

Of Interest

Scott Circle is named after General Winfield Scott, the “Grand Old Man of the Army.” The longest serving active duty general in American history, Scott was nominated for president by the Whig Party over its own incumbent President Millard Fillmore. General Scott is the tallest man ever nominated by a major party (thank you, Wikipedia) and the first American following George Washington to hold the rank of lieutenant general.

Washington, D.C. Roots

While we’ve since moved across town a bit, our DC roots remain steadfast. We continue to look forward to the cherry blossoms that bloom on Scott Circle and throughout our beautiful city each spring.
