The Aspen Institute - National Commission on Social, Emotional & Academic Development

In 2016, the Aspen Institute’s National Commission on Social, Emotional, and Academic Development turned to Scott Circle Events to provide strategic event planning and travel coordination for their inaugural convening in Washington, DC. At the outset, Scott Circle identified and contracted competitive hotel room blocks for the attendees and managed all air and ground transportation logistics for out of town guests. We also worked closely with the Aspen team to identify unique meeting and special event venues with an eye towards creating an atmosphere conducive to collaboration and facilitated conversation.

Throughout the planning process, Scott Circle engaged dynamic catering and audiovisual providers, and worked closely with the team’s chosen facilitators to ensure their needs were met. From signage to swag bags to centerpieces, Scott Circle took the helm on all logistics with an eye towards the overall guest experience in the lead up and onsite. We also oversaw the check-in and credential distribution process as well as ensured accurate execution from all venues and vendors. Through our trusted partnership, the Aspen team was able to focus on interacting with their most important stakeholders and facilitating important face-to-face discussions.

Over the past two years, the National Commission team has entrusted Scott Circle to provide additional event planning and travel support for over ten in-house meetings at the Aspen Institute headquarters, a variety of intimate Washington-based convenings as well as four larger Commission meetings across the United States. We are very proud of the partnership we’ve built with the Commission team and feel like an integral part of the team.
