Scott Circle Events conceived a farm-to-table dinner in the Smithsonian National Museum of American History, collaborating with the opening of their American Innovation exhibit. Scott Circle worked closely with NCGA to build a comprehensive invitation list of major D.C. players, including influential representatives from the Administration, Capitol Hill, and the lobbying and corporate offices downtown.

By leveraging both new and old relationships, along with an aggressive follow-up plan, Scott Circle was able to build an impressive crowd of industry stakeholders for the dinner. Family farmers came from across the nation to share their stories and challenges with key VIPs from across the political spectrum. 

Though pouring rain eliminated our outdoor plans, Scott Circle partnered with several local vendors to create a visually stunning experience in Flag Hall of the American History Museum. The Scott Circle team also identified and engaged a local celebrity chef to prepare a meal using local flavors and ingredients. A strategic seating plan led to very productive conversations at the table. From all perspectives, the evening was a great success and Scott Circle achieved the client’s goal of raising awareness and improving public perception of family farming in America.
